We are hiring — build your career with us

Bulgaria for Business VCC is a growing international professional services firm based in Sofia, Bulgaria. We advise foreign businesses and individuals on company formation, legal and tax matters, accounting, licensing, real estate, recruitment, HR administration, and business acquisitions — in English, to clients from across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and beyond.

We are expanding our team and are looking for talented, English-speaking professionals who want to work at the intersection of Bulgarian expertise and international business. If you are exceptional at what you do, value transparency and respect in a workplace, and want to be part of a firm that is genuinely building something — we would like to hear from you.

WHY NOW: Bulgaria for Business VCC is at an inflection point — growing faster than we can hire. The people who join us now will not be filling seats in a mature organisation. They will be building the practice with us — shaping how we work, how we communicate, and what we offer. For the right people, this is a rare opportunity to grow professionally within a firm that is growing around them.

Why join Bulgaria for Business VCC?

Six reasons why professionals at different stages of their careers choose to work with us.

International client exposure
From day one, you work with clients from across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and beyond. Our client base is international, our communications are in English, and the work is genuinely cross-border. There is no Bulgarian-only comfort zone — and that is a career accelerant.

A full-service integrated practice
Bulgaria for Business VCC covers seven distinct professional service areas under one roof. Working here means understanding how legal structures affect accounting outcomes, how HR decisions interact with employment law, and how property transactions connect to corporate planning. This cross-disciplinary exposure is rare in a firm of our size.

A growing platform
We are not a mature, static firm managing a legacy book of business. We are a growing practice — adding new service lines, new clients, and new team members. The people who join now will shape what Bulgaria for Business VCC becomes. There is genuine opportunity to grow with us.

Transparent and respectful culture
We have no tolerance for office politics, unnecessary hierarchy, or the blame culture that exists in too many professional services firms. We expect high standards — and we support people in meeting them. Mistakes are addressed constructively. Success is recognised and rewarded.

Meaningful, varied work
The nature of our client base means no two mandates are identical. You might work on a company formation for a tech entrepreneur in one week and a hotel acquisition due diligence for an investor the next. The variety keeps the work intellectually engaging.

Fair compensation and flexibility
We offer competitive compensation benchmarked against the Sofia professional market, a full benefits package, flexible working arrangements for roles where the nature of the work permits it, and a clear framework for performance review and progression.

Current openings

We are actively hiring across the following roles. Each role card below describes the position, the working arrangement, and what we are looking for. If your background spans more than one area, let us know — we value cross-disciplinary professionals.

Corporate & Commercial Lawyer

We are looking for a qualified Bulgarian lawyer — or a lawyer with strong Bulgarian law knowledge — to support our growing corporate and commercial legal practice. You will advise international clients on company formation, corporate transactions, contract law, compliance, and regulatory matters.

We are looking for:

  • Qualified lawyer (Bulgarian bar or equivalent)
  • Strong written and spoken English — essential
  • Experience in corporate law, M&A, or commercial contracts
  • Ability to draft legal documents in both English and Bulgarian
  • Interest in working with international clients and cross-border matters

Real Estate Agent / Property Advisor

We are expanding our real estate advisory practice and are looking for an experienced property professional to support foreign buyers and investors across residential, commercial, and hospitality property transactions across Bulgaria.

We are looking for:

  • Experience in real estate sales, rental, or advisory in Bulgaria
  • English is essential — other languages (Russian, German, Arabic) are an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Bulgarian property market and transaction process
  • Client-facing experience — ability to build trust with international clients
  • Ability to conduct and coordinate site visits, valuations, and transaction support

Accountant / Tax Specialist

Our accounting practice serves a growing portfolio of foreign-owned Bulgarian companies. We need a detail-oriented accountant with hands-on experience of Bulgarian accounting standards, NRA compliance, and VAT — who can also communicate clearly with international clients in English.

We are looking for:

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIPA, or Bulgarian equivalent — preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting standards and NRA compliance
  • Hands-on experience with VAT registration and monthly VAT filing
  • Payroll processing and NRA Forms 1 & 6 experience — an advantage
  • English language — written and spoken — essential for client reporting

HR Specialist / Payroll Administrator

We provide outsourced HR administration and payroll services to foreign-owned Bulgarian companies. We are looking for an HR and payroll specialist who understands the Bulgarian Labour Code deeply and can manage the full employment lifecycle — from onboarding through to termination — for multiple client companies simultaneously.

We are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of Bulgarian Labour Code (КТ) and employment regulations
  • Hands-on payroll processing experience — NRA Form 1 & 6, NOI declarations
  • Experience managing employment contracts, onboarding, and termination documentation
  • Ability to communicate with clients in English — written reports and email correspondence
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple client accounts in parallel

Recruitment Consultant

We are growing our recruitment practice and are looking for an experienced recruiter to manage candidate sourcing, screening, and placement for our international clients hiring in Bulgaria. You will handle everything from junior professional placements to senior management searches.

We are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience — agency or in-house
  • Strong English — you will manage all client communication in English
  • Experience placing professional roles in Bulgaria (IT, finance, legal, HR, operations)
  • Ability to manage full recruitment cycles independently — from brief to placement
  • LinkedIn Recruiter or equivalent sourcing tool experience

Client Services Specialist

The first point of contact for many of our international clients, you will manage incoming enquiries, coordinate between our service teams, maintain client records, track matter progress, and ensure that clients receive clear and timely communication throughout their engagement with Bulgaria for Business VCC.

We are looking for:

  • Excellent written and spoken English — non-negotiable
  • Strong organisational skills — comfortable managing multiple matters and deadlines
  • Professional, warm, and clear communication style
  • Experience in a client-facing administrative or coordination role
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and document management — an advantage

Licensing & Regulatory Advisory Specialist

Supporting our growing licensing practice — assisting international clients through the process of obtaining Bulgarian and EU regulatory licences in financial services (Forex, crypto/MiCA, payment services) and other regulated sectors (gambling, transport). This is a specialist role requiring regulatory knowledge and strong English.

We are looking for:

  • Knowledge of Bulgarian and EU financial services regulation — FSC, BNB, IAMA
  • Familiarity with MiCA, PSD2, MiFID II — an advantage
  • Experience supporting licensing applications or regulatory compliance
  • Strong English — all client communication and most documentation is in English
  • Legal, compliance, or regulatory background preferred

Business Development / Marketing Specialist

We are building our international client pipeline and are looking for a business development and marketing professional to manage our digital presence, create content that reaches foreign entrepreneurs and investors, and develop partnerships with international professional networks.

We are looking for:

  • Experience in B2B digital marketing — SEO, content, LinkedIn, email campaigns
  • Excellent English writing skills — you will create and edit most of our published content
  • Understanding of professional services marketing (law firm, accounting firm, or similar)
  • Ability to manage website content, social media, and marketing campaigns independently
  • Some knowledge of Bulgaria as a business destination — an advantage but not essential
