Three-Star Revival-Style Hotel Complex with Restaurant in the Bozhentsi Architectural Reserve for Sale in Gabrovo, Gabrovo Province, Bulgaria
A hotel complex in the beautiful Balkan village of Bozhentsi, an architectural and historical reserve about 9 km east of Gabrovo and 6 km west of Tryavna. Since 2003 it has operated successfully as a categorised three-star guest house with a restaurant. The restaurant occupies the old barn and a newly built extension, with a modern, functional kitchen, two storerooms and a WC. It seats 55: 35 in a hall with fireplace and 20 outdoors on the barn veranda and barbecue area, with a separate WC for guests. The covered barbecue has a stone platform with dining tables, a fireplace for spit-roasting, a smaller fireplace, a built-in oven and a working decorative fountain. Above the kitchen is a two-room apartment with its own access, currently used by the owners as a year-round home.
The yard is beautifully laid out on two levels: the lower level is fully paved with stone and used as parking for hotel and restaurant guests, and the upper level is a wide lawn surrounded by flower gardens, rose bushes and grapevines, with a small children’s play area with a wooden slide and swing. The complex is heated by wood-fired central heating with thermostatic valves on every radiator.
